Margie​

As a child I enjoyed a lot of creativity in my family home and my first ever fan was my nan to whom I sang on the phone since the age of four. I learned to play guitar at the age of eight. Playing an instrument gave me a lot of pleasure and confidence and helped me develop my social skills as well. The ukulele is a great instrument for children to learn to play, and because it only has four strings, it is nice and easy to master at a basic level and you can learn quickly compared to other instruments. 'Margie Jammie' is my nickname for my music activities, in my past I worked as a Graphic Designer and an English Teacher. I love practising songs on my ukulele with my partner Luca, doing Open Mics with Alex and playing with my cheeky spaniels Coco & Sasha.

 

Luca

Luca is classically trained and works as a rock session musician. He has his own songwriting project and currently teaches guitar with London Piano Masters. and privately to students of all ages. Luca holds independent workshops on "rock guitar" and "live performance" across the UK. Lead guitarist with The DeRellas, and with Spizzenergi, two of the most acclaimed punk bands on the European circuit. In 2007 he joins The DeRellas signed to American independent label Crushworld Records. In 2012 he joins 80's punk rock icon Spizz with his new line up, which is still going strong today. Both bands are currently working on new releases due out in 2015.

 

 

Alex

Alex grew up in the Midlands where he became surgically attached to the drums aged 11 years old. This discovery started a life-long passion with music and he soon started taking up all the instruments he could find. Fast forward to 2015 and Alexander Karl Gold regularly tours the world with a whole host of bands and ensembles on a variety of instruments, including The Unique Komedy Ukulele Orchestra (TUKUO) and his own creative project and alias, Darling BOY. In his spare time he is a proud uncle and lover of houmous.

We are all Musician Union insured and DBS checked. We have bags of enthusiasm for supporting learners in their music journey and encourage personal expression while having lots of fun.
