Ukulittle® Zoom lessons are designed to be fun, interactive, and effective. Lessons are tailored to suit the individual learning style of every child. Whether your child is a visual, auditory, or kinaesthetic learner, we have the tools and techniques to help them thrive. Ukulittle® Zoom lessons offer a truly immersive learning environment. To achieve the best possible sound quality for both you and your child, we recommend using Zoom Pro with the "Original Sound" feature turned on. This means you can both clearly hear the ukulele and each other's voices, just as if you were in the same room. This is essential for building a strong musical connection and ensuring effective learning. We use a variety of teaching methods, including games and creative exercises to keep students motivated. Zoom also allows for visual aids, real-time feedback, and personalised attention, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed.

When appropriate, we introduce the use of a metronome to help students develop a strong sense of rhythm and timing. Additionally, we believe in the importance of vocal development for musicians, so we incorporate selected vocal warm-ups into lessons where suitable.

Beyond basic strumming, Ukulittle® places importance on fostering a sense of agency and emotional expression through songwriting and fun brain-flowing games. These creative outlets are introduced early on to encourage self-expression and build confidence. As students progress, we introduce more complex skills such as more advanced strumming patterns, fingerpicking, soloing, and arranging favourite songs for the ukulele. We also encourage ensemble playing, helping students learn to collaborate with other musicians.

Ukulittle® Zoom lessons offer flexibility in scheduling to accommodate busy family life, making it an ideal choice for parents seeking enriching activities for their children. Whether you're looking for a fun way to spend rainy days or a creative outlet during the summer holidays, Ukulittle® can provide a valuable and enjoyable learning experience.

Each Ukulittle® lesson is 30 minutes in duration, allowing for focused learning and practice. We believe this format is ideal for young children and helps maintain their concentration. Lesson duration increases up to 50 minutes for older students.

Happy Parents, Happy Children

I'm incredibly proud of the progress my students make. Here's what some of their parents and students have to say:

  • Alison, Mum of Stage 4 student: "Oliver really enjoys his music lesson. He is always enthusiastic and really enjoys singing. He has been very impressive with his natural ability to play the ukulele and winning the Year 6 Talent Show!"

  • Annabel, Mum of 6 yo Stage 1 student: "Tim enjoys his Zoom lesson every week, he has made such great progress since he started in reception. He can now play two and three-finger chords which is simply amazing."

  • Beatrice, 7 yo Stage 2 Student: "I had a dream to sing and play A Million Dreams. Now I can! Thank you."

  • Felix, 12 yo Stage 4 Student: "I love that I can keep learning ukulele even when Margie is busy with concerts and workshops abroad. The Zoom lessons make it feel like she's right there in the room with me!"

  • Margaret, Mum of 8 yo Stage 2 Student: I'm so impressed with Freddie. You have done an incredible job. His 'guitar' teacher at school even stopped me to say he's so impressed to see him writing his own songs and that he has a real knack for it."
